Lowered Truck w/ Rancho RS5120?
Hey guys,
Looking into getting new shocks for my truck and I plan on lowering the rear 2" to be level with the front. At Summit they have the Rancho RS5120 labeled for the front stock height but they do not have it for the rear. Sure I could get another type for the rear but I'm a little OCD about things matching and would like to get the same (or some that look the same) for the back as the front. I'm assuming it is labeled for the front because of the extension and collapsed lengths but if the rear of the truck sits at the same height as the front shouldn't the shocks be interchangeable? I'm assuming the eyelets are the same. If anyone has any information its greatly appreciated! Thanks, Michael

Re: Lowered Truck w/ Rancho RS5120?
you can lower your rear 2" then measure the differance from brackets, lets say you measure and its 11". then you can go to a local NAPA and find a set of shocks that will fit, you clould get a shock that travels 7" to 15" with the correct ends on the shock to fit your truck. they should have a book that lists all the shocks its just getting a person to take the time and look for you. some places like Airbagit.com sells shocks that you order to fit what ever your travel range will be.

if it is 12 you might get a shock that is 7 to 17 you will have to check it out, one thing to think of is are you going to be hauling anything in the bed of any kind of real weight or towing with it cause you need more travel going down than you do going up.
