Paint available to restore badges and trim
I think I may have found a terrific combination of Chevy gold/yellow and black to restore hubcaps, trim, badges, etc. . . .
The New Caterpillar Yellow is a dead ringer for the chevy gold/yellow and the engine low gloss is the exact same dull black on our trim! Let me know what you guys think or if you have found something better!

Re: Paint available to restore badges and trim
The trick is to press the masking tape super tight with your finger around the edges that will meet the paint, then make sure the paint is allowed to dry a reasonable amount of time (usually about 10 min for low gloss paint). Lastly, when you peel the tape off, pull AWAY from the paint, not straight up, and not towards it. Hope this helps.

Re: Paint available to restore badges and trim
I also painted these caps today for my '78. They are late sixties Impala, I think. But I painted them to look era correct for my year. What do you think?

Re: Paint available to restore badges and trim
Looks good !
Ahhh..... Would that be a 60's vintage dinning table ? My 62 is the same with gold specks but a swirled design....
