I lost everything to FIRE,,,,,

UPDATE ON PAGE 6 thanks to everyone who helped us with parts!!!Jan. 5th I got off work at 3:30 pm,at 3:40pm I recived a call on my cell that my shop was on fire. I charged home as fast and as safely as I could. When turned the curve at the top of the hill the once view of my shop that I always enjoyed seeing when I topped the hill was a burning inferno! I've built and sold trucks and parts for 17 yrs and loved every day of it. I lost my dad in 2001 when he wrecked his 1994 roadking and I had alot of his things on a wall that was a shrine of my dad's life, beside thta was a huge collection of Dale Earnhart memberbiia of plaque's ,pic's and stand ups and other cool item's. I had my 1st truck I bought 17 yr's ago inside and the chassi was 100% complete and rolling. Over all these yr's I had hoarded prisene sheetmetal for the build of this truck in the future. My 2007 Harley Davison was also inside as well as all the plaque's and trophy's the the ole 71 chevy surburban known as BIG ORANGE also garnnish a wall, Every acomplishment of my life in the form of a trophy, plaque, mounted fish, mounted deer and I could go on and on about the this great lost! We had built my 17 yr old son a 69 short bed fleet truck and it was out to paint along with alot of parts that would be bolted on the truck however the black seat, seat belts, black 72 door panels and carpet burnt up. Other than the loss of my Dad in 2001 this has been the worst day of my life!!! Here's some pic.s of the shop,,,,,
Please keep us in your prayer's as we try to put our life back together, I would had rather my house had burnt down than my shop! Got Insurance but it want bring back alot of the things that belong to my late father and all of the neat item's that covered the wall in that 30X40 shop that I poured my life into.................

Can't tell you how sorry i am to hear that Big Orange - terrible, terrible loss. I'm glad nobody was hurt, but everyone on here can certainly appreciate how much the shop loss hurts. It can be rebuilt, but some things are hard to replace, I know. Hang in there bud, will be pullin for you.

Re: I lost everything to FIRE,,,,,

I feel your pain and am sorry for your loss. Almost 4 yrs ago I was working on a car in my bosses shop when a fire broke out. I made it out ok a few seconds before all the paint and materials started exploding. All in all we lost the shop, 3 cars, all our tools, and damaged several other cars. It's one of the worst feelings in the world. We rebuilt the shop and my boss passed away about a year later, one of the worst years of my life because he was a mentor to me for 6 years before this. Been working for him since I was 17 and now I run the shop and business but kept the old mans name on the sign.

In the end salvage what you can and be thankful no one was hurt. I wish you the best of luck.

Re: I lost everything to FIRE,,,,,

I'm sorry for your loss. It sounds like there were many prized possesions and memories in that shop. You just have to pick up the peices and try to move on and start over. Try not to let it get you down too much. I to had the same thing happen to me last October, lost my garage, both of my trucks, and all my tools and spare parts. I'm just now getting to the point where i can talk about it. I have since got another 72 to drive and am replacing my tool collection one peice at a time. The best way to look at these situations is no one was hurt and there was no life lost, everything else can be replaced! Here's a couple of picks of my fire. I am again very sorry for your loss. Keep your chin up! Joseph

Re: I lost everything to FIRE,,,,,

Fire is one of my greatest fears. It is so shockingly final. Insurance covers monetary value which lays low compared to sentimental value that nothing in the world can replace. I'm so sorry you and anyone else has been victimized by fire and can only pray I get through life dodging it.
I wish I could offer some assistance. I guess you'll rebuild the shop and if I could,I'd be there to help.
