Carlisle Show
Did the deal on Thursday. A little disappointing as several of the truck parts dealers did not show---no more Golden State? The Truck Shop from Calif was very low on stock from selling out many items at the Charlotte show! Did manage to find some little ditties---Console, custom wood 72 door arm rests, real nice 72 glove box door from a Black Super with all the right options.
Did NOT see ONE correct tach dash, truck tilt, console, buckets, speed warning, etc. Did see a nice front clip @ $450. and some decent driver quality trucks @ $1500-2500. The weather was real nice but truck parts shopping was kind of poor---oh well, half the fun is in the pursuit. Be interesting to see what others may have found--sure some good stuff was taken on Wed by other dealers and on Friday when late setups happened!!! |

I decided to go in the last minute on Friday morning, I did find a couple of correct consoles, a white one for $10, but it was busted in one corner, If I knew how to fix them I should've had got it, saw a couple of correct truck tilts and a couple of van tilts that the guy was trying to pass as "real" truck tilts, also saw a restored set of '67 bucket seats for the modest amount of $1,350, cheap, huh?
As you said some of the stuff was gone by Wed. but there's always the All trucks Nationals, hope to have better luck in that one.

Huck I've never been to it but have you been to Charlotte? I try to go every year. Shouldn't be about the same distance. Golden State changed hands and they don't come east anymore. They wasn't there last year. In fact I don't think they advertise either.

I'll tell you what, I went on Thursday and wasn't happy with the prices at all. I think the private sellers were too proud of their parts to sell them. D@*m Hot Wheels were going for $2-$5 each...
