Electrical problem
Whenever I leave my battery hooked up and I go to start it the next day the battery is dead the truck is only wired to start right now none of the electronics are hooked up anyone got any ideas?

You got a hot ground bud. Take the negative cable off and put a volt meter/light type probe between the battery neg and the cable, start pulling fuses until the draw disappears.

I had a bad headlight switch that I used that to figure out what was happening. Good luck!

so i looked into and yes the ground was hot it was actually getting the full twelve volts from the battery i played around with it a little and havent solved it yet also i have the main ground hooked up to one of the starter bolts that go up into the block so i was thinking maybe i should ground the black to the frame or the frame to the battery any suggestions?

First thing that came to my mind was a bad diode in the alternator.
Disconnect it (and insulate the main lead) and check for a draw again. Q

Changing the ground won't solve the problem. Following Clyde65's advice can. Give us a little more info. What year of truck? What type of charging system do you have? Could have a short in that system or the starter.

The alternator is from an 86 pickup and I converted to get rid of the external voltage regulator the truck it's on is a 65 gmc

start pulling fuses until it goes to zero volts and that will show you what circuit it is.

Careful on the alt if it is a 10si stle with a flat plug at the back , the two spades looking at it from the back of alt the one on the left (or drivers side) is the keyed spade the one on the right or passenger side is live all the time the same as the output term at the back of alt. If you have the plug wired backwards the alt will still charge but will leave the regulator turned on all the time with the key in the off position so check the plug. Could also have a diode leaking in alt rectifier which will still charge some but will draw the battery down when not running. Put a voltmeter on battery terms cold without running get a basic voltage on a digital display and disconnect alt plug and alt wire to see if voltage increases if it does then your current draw is in alt.

Or I guess I meant I pulled all fuses and I was still getting voltage on the ground
