48 side vent install
I have a 1948 GMC Panel delivey and want to keep the side vent. New cowl part does not have it. I cut old vent out of rusted panel leaving 1/2" on the sides , just looking for a smooth way to install. Looks like I should come in from the back side plama cut and spot weld, but how to make it look "not installed"?Thanks

Re: 48 side vent install
I would spot from the outside it is easier to see if a problem develops. Just skip around and don't let it get too hot!!

Re: 48 side vent install
As MKnittle said don't get in a rush. Tack it in a few spots and let it cool for a bit and then tack it in a few more. We all tend to want to get in a rush and that often makes more work fixing the problem we caused than what we were doing in the first place.
