Nice
Are any of those your's? That second pic, I'm guessing it's a 6.5 turbo on a 6.2? Thanks! Quote:

Re: Let's see those 6.2 Detroits!!!
I ran the exhaust outside of the frame rail, under the cab, and up through the bed. I will check to see what I have for pictures.

Re: Let's see those 6.2 Detroits!!!
Dr Lee on The Diesel Page built a really nice N/A 6.5 (589 block) for his '82 short bed that had about stock 6.5TD HP. He painted it '82 6.2 red to keep the look. The truck was a red original 6.2 C/10.
I'll play. I've had at least one in my driveway for 25 or more years now. No under hood pics, though. First,my '84 I had until I ordered my '92. It had a Banks Sidewinder kit and Gear Vendors behind a TH400:

Re: Let's see those 6.2 Detroits!!!
Here's my '91 Suburban with 6.2/4L80E. I retired it after it got hit in the front, had a mashed rear 1/4 panel, and I just didn't have the money to fix it:

Re: Let's see those 6.2 Detroits!!!
My latest and current 6.2 is this '85 Jimmy with 700r4. All stock except I took the lift/tires/axles from the Suburban and put them under it. So,now it's got 4.10s and a locker.

Re: Let's see those 6.2 Detroits!!!
Yes,I don't think it was worth the expense, though. The N/As run just fine for me and get better mileage.

It's there for my failing transmission, and even after going over a mountain or hitting the highway at 90 it NEVER moves!

Re: Let's see those 6.2 Detroits!!!
Great looking diesels in this thread. Here is my 82. The date on the pic is not right. I took this pic about 2 years ago right after I bought the truck.
