FS Restored non tach cluster

I have a restored 69-72 non tach cluster for sale. It is all original GM except for the bezel which is aftermarket. It has been restored using a very nice core cluster. The speedo gauge needle has been repainted to the exact color otherwise the gauges are all original. I have had the paint for the back tin custom color matched to the exact colors. The back tin has been stripped, acid dipped, media blasted, primed with self etching primer and then painted. The inner tin is original as it it was cherry nice and did not need refinishing. The printed circuit is also very nice. All the gauges look like new. I have polished the lens and looks like new as well. This cluster looks new and is show quality. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. If so send it back and I'll pay shipping both ways. I have 4 of these in equal condition. 195.00 plus shipping. Thanks, Tom

New Price 185.00 shipped and they now will come with a rebuild speedometer (rebuilt at a speedometer repair shop) reset to zero.

I have about 30 cores to work with so I can supply one at any time. As for the tach option it gets spendy. I have the tins but the NEW lens, tach and wiring adds 200.00. Thanks

Great looking clusters! I may have to hit you up for one when I get my Christmas bonus (assuming my boss doesn't pull a Griswold and give me a jelly of the month subscription this year)!

Re: FS Restored non tach cluster

How much would you get to restore a tach cluster if I sent it to you with a good lens and circuit? Mainly I would want to have you blast and paint the tins, test and reset the speedo to zero, make sure all the gauges work and paint the needles, etc.

Re: FS Restored non tach cluster

I would do the labor for 125.00 and 25.00 exchange on the speedo. I would exchange the tins for some already painted. I paint the tins in multipule qaunities and have the speedos done 20 at a time. Your speedo would have to have a good face. Thanks, Tom

Re: FS Restored non tach cluster

Great looking cluster. Good luck with the sale.

Would you mind sharing the colors you are using for the needles, and tins? I only ask because I have read every thread I could find and the needle color that others are using is discontinued and or not the right color. I think several have used Plastikote "orange glow or Tamiya TS-31 but that is almost neon orange and I think that the stock color had a bit of red in there.

I just purchased a tach conversion and it is gonna look way too nice next to my faded guage needles, so I got to get this figured out.

Thanks, John

A very fine tip paint brush from my local hobby store, some paint and about two Coors Light's (two settle the nerves) and your done.

For all of those who are interested, I have seen these gauge clusters in person and you will not find a better deal or a nicer cluster for the money, not even from me

A steal for $185.00

Tom does top notch work on these.
