New 6.0 liter and 6 speed transmission.

I just got a new daily driver ( company truck) It's a 2012 silverado 2500 4X4 crewcab. It has the 6.0 liter engine (which is rated at 360 HP), and a six speed automatic trans. I was supprised at how well it moves this 7500 pound beast around. I can't help but wonder what this combination would be like swapped into a nice 72 half ton shortbed. I think i'll be watching the wrecking yards for a possible organ donor for my next project.

Re: New 6.0 liter and 6 speed transmission.

I did a similar swap in my 67 gmc, I love it!!! Can`t wait to tow my car to the track to see how it pulls.

Re: New 6.0 liter and 6 speed transmission.

I already did the 5.3 swap and pulled it out to do a cammed up 6.0 in my 67. Was hoping to get it done this weekend. However, I was sent the wrong stall convertor... So be it. It will be breathing fire next weekend.
