life long project (aka my precious) 67 swb
I have had this truck since I was eight years old. The truck was given to me by my dad. That was way back in 1982. I remeber the day we brought it home well, full of leaves and dirt. It probably looked awful but it was beautiful in my eyes. My dad thought it would be a great project for me to learn auto mechanics. Growing up with this project definetly taught me about mechanics. We put 4 different motors in before I was sixteen, but ended up with a 396 big block, when I could finally drive legally! Working on this truck as a boy spawned a career in autobody. My great uncle taught me how to do autobody work on my truck. I was really good at it and loved doing it. The truck sat a long time during the lean years of starting my restoration shop. Now it is time to make her look the way I seen her 30 years ago; more beautiful than ever! this pic is what it looked like after sitting for years. Its the starting point.

I like the fact that you saved the "full size" rear window.
You do nice work!!!

Re: life long project (aka my precious) 67 swb
suicide door time I have finnished the right side and now working on driver side. did not do a step by step picture taking on right side but i will do so on driver side. After doing one side I learned that the doors are actually more work than the roof chopping.
