1950 Chevy rear end problems? newbie
I just bought a 1950 chevy truck and while trying to replace a wheel cylender I noticed two things 1. I have an axle that I have no clue were it came from and 2 they used the factory leaf springs and now the shackles are bent. Ill attach the pic of the shackles. I need a cheap option please!!! but I want to make it right. open to anything TCI leaf kit / Juck yard ...
The only stamps on the axle are HA 10 06 W Thanks guys! |

Are your axle perches welded or just bolted on? Looks like they have moved in board, or someone just used the stock ones which caused the springs to twist.
look here: http://www.thecamaro.com/Decoding/Ch...Axle-Codes.php http://www.novaresource.org/axle.htm http://aplsweb.com/Topics/Differential.htm

the perches are welded but that axel didnt come original in that truck. Still cant find anything for that axel code. found some wheel cylinders that fit but now I have to find a pinion seal for it. Thanks |
