18x12&18x10 steel wheels?
This is a real shot in the dark and ive look every where i can think of but does any one make a 18x12 and 18x10 on a 5 by 5.50 lug steel wheel that doesnt cost an arm and a leg. Because my whole idea was to try get some wide tires under the truck to make it grab the corners and look nice and mean for less than with the whole suspension cost me. The tires idd like to put on my old tanker are BFGoodrich g-Force T/A Drag Radial 345/30r18's in the back and 295/35r18's in the front. Ya im alittle crazy but i'm also knowlege hungery too so if any one knows where i can find the unobtainable steel wheel that would be awsome.

Re: 18x12&18x10 steel wheels?
You can have your cake, but you can't eat it too. There are companies that will make your wheel, but none of them are what most would consider cheap. Take a look at this thread for some detailed insight on the topic-"My wheel idea for 20" steelies" I know you requested info on 18's but most of this will apply.
You mention wanting to make you truck "grab the corners" yet your plans are to run the "BFGoodrich g-Force T/A Drag Radial". I feel that you have the right idea, but the wrong tire for the application. There are several wide tires on the market that would give you much better handling than a drag radial. If you like BFG, take a look at the KDW series. Here are a couple of good threads on the topic. The first one is a must read. Make it handle Autocrossing your chevy truck....who wants to?

Re: 18x12&18x10 steel wheels?
ya thank you very much for all the links N2TRUX and you got me thinking about the toyo proxes R888 agine there not much more and i can get them in almost the same size. the reason i was looking at the BFGoodrich g-Force T/A Drag Radial is well me trying to cut cost because there fairly cheap there only $248per back tire and $255per front tire. now im going to read thoughs threads.

Re: 18x12&18x10 steel wheels?
Drag tires don't make good autocross tires. Look for tires spec'd for autocrossing like the Comp TA KDW2's or similar to the R888's. I wouldn't do steel wheels either....

Re: 18x12&18x10 steel wheels?
An 18x12 will fit on the rear but that will depend on how low you go and proper backspace. . It might require you to mod the inside tub if you go super low.

Re: 18x12&18x10 steel wheels?
ya i have a whole crap ton things i want to do to my truck and ideas for the truck. i am going to make new inner fenders for both the front and rear and a ton of other sheet metal work is going to be dun to my truck. the suspension im really looking at Porterbuilt full set up in the front and there stage 2 kit for the back. but since i'm out of work its just window shoping and doing homework on the right way of taking my truck from a stock 72 chevy c20 longbed fleetside to a totaly custom 72 chevy c10 short bed, extra cab that can cruz and keep up in the corners
