No, 15" wheels should be Ok, unless they have a ton of backspace. I had 15" wheels on my old truck with a 3" drop spindle.
What kind of calipers are you looking for? Just replacement ones? I think you can buy rebuilt ones from the auto parts store for a very reasonable price. |

The 71 master cyl, booster, & prop valve will work for you.

Re: spindles on the way what more do i need?
Yes, the spindles will be the same across the board. What kind of truck do you have now? a 69 lwb, correct? And you just want to use the booster and brakes off a 71? If so, It will all work together.
Just make sure to get 71 brakes etc., because your spindle will be for a disc brake truck. THen just get all the brakes for a 71 chevy, which will be 5x5 bolt pattern (5 lug). If you have 6 lug now, then you will have to convert the back. This is the way I understand it, as I don't believe they made a 6 lug disc brake, only drum. |

Look at Summit Racing for CPP spindles.
Buy them for the 63-70 application and you will be fine. Here's your choices from Summit Racing,... http://www.summitracing.com/search/Y...rd=c10+spindle

Re: spindles on the way what more do i need?
Very good info on Drum to Disc conversion!
If you go with the CPP Modular spindle, it will leave the option for a big brake system down the road, like Baer or Wilwood. If that isn't in the plans, then any other the other will be good. I used the McGhauhys drop spindle. Let me know if you need spindles still, and I would be glad to help you out. Travis |

Re: spindles on the way what more do i need?
to get used calipers makes no sense as they are quite cheap at any autoparts store
to go thru the work of installing new spindles and use 40year old balljoints and tyrod ends??
