Re: Fixed it!
That really is something neat to watch.
I hope you don't mind me saying Andy, but you have a nice rear end! I was waiting for the burnout. Maybe another video idea for you. Good job! Keith |

Re: Fixed it!
Fascinating! I never realized how much the color of gear oil changed. Suppose it's due to aeration?
I've always wanted to mount a camera on any one of my vehicles for fun. A nice time lapse camera would make a cool video. Condense a 6 hour trip into a 6 minute video or something like that.

Re: Fixed it!
I never knew you could get clear covers for the rear end...that's just the kinda quirky addition that I would want for mine.....great video Andy, and glad the problem has been resolved too.

Re: Fixed it!
Yea last Friday I installed it with a gasket only. It would leak everytime I drove it. It was fine as long it was sitting but as soon as I took off it leaked so now it's done with no gasket and just sealer!
Going to try and get a front video today of it if I can find a place to mount the camera.

Re: Fixed it!
Great Vid! I have always thought your truck is one of the better thought out DD's I have ever seen. Some of the things aren't what I would have done but you built it to suit you and your use ( what makes this BB great). It's also cleaner than most late model trucks. This mod is a great one and practical also.Your rear end gear oil is checked chronically now.
To be honest, the style you have done it in has grown on me.

Re: Fixed it!
I'm interested in the rear shock relocation you did. Did you use stock size shocks. Do you have any pics of that setup?

Talked to a shop owner today and for $25.00 a hr he is going to let me use his outside lift and water so I can pressure wash the underside of the truck. It needs it bad from the oil leaks I have been fixing over the ppast month are so.
