Brake issues
77 C-10 2wd. Took it out for a drive tonight and noticed something appeared to be dragging on it. Time I got home I had smoke pouring out from the passenger wheel. Jacked it up and the wheel was locked up. Took the tire off and noticed the brake was locked up. Went to the driver side and sure enough, it was locked up as well. I can't imagine both calipers getting stuck at the same time without something else causing it.
Some background on the truck: When I bought the truck there were manual brakes on it. I added a booster and the appropriate master cylinder and bled the system. I recently had the entire front suspension out of it and rebuilt it. Once I got it back together is when the problems started. My brother in law told me that the clamp that holds the brake hoses can tighten up on the hoses over time and restrict the flow or the return of brake fluid. Thoughts? Ideas? Suggestions? Anything will be greatly appreciated.

Did you replace the rubber brake lines to the calipers? If not, replace them.

my tuck did simmilar it was the rubber lines they break down on the in side and act like a check valve also make sure you didnt kink a line on the feed side of the system. good luck

I messed with my truck again today. After sitting for 24 hours the wheels turned fine. I pumped the brakes a few times and they locked up again. I tried to loosen the bleeder screws on the calipers and rounded them off. I unbolted the master cylinder from the booster and that released the pressure. The rod coming out of the booster is a fixed length and is not adjustable. I thougth things out and put two flat washers on each stud and bolted the master back up and it fixed the problem. Guess I need to figure out what to do to fix it permanently.
