Should be the right size cfm. You may need a carb to intake adapter. Thanks, Fred

Hey John. Carb has been sitting in a box on the shelf for quite some time,, probably a year or longer. Don't really even remember what we removed it from. Time flies, memories fade.. We sorted through the shop, pulling out boxes and opening them, and found all kinds of stuff we had misplac,,, er,,, stashed back.

Re: Edelbrock 600 cfm carb # 1406 electric choke.
Hey Betty. You will need a four barrel intake manifold for this to work and also have to do some linkage modifications. Not that difficult, just not a direct bolt on. We are about 100 miles south of St Louis. Shows how great the guys here are, they stepped back and let you to the head of the line. Thanks, Fred

Re: Edelbrock 600 cfm carb # 1406 electric choke.
I do appreciate them giving me cuts in line...lol
But before I decide...I know I have to replace the intake manifold, and remove the distributor which I'm wanting to switch to HEI anyway. But now my clueless part...what linkage and what would I need to do to it? I already think I'm missing things off my 2bbl another reason I want to upgrade. lol But in the am I'll take pics of my linkage and post them and let ya see what I'm working with. lol Heck this truck's PO used a bic pen cap to plug a vacuum line...lol So let me see what ledge I'll have to jump off this time. I already jumped and crashed on this truck. oh and I thought you were closer to st.louis sorry I will need it shipped if I take it. betty |

Re: Edelbrock 600 cfm carb # 1406 electric choke.
Hey Betty. I think you might be better served by fixing your linkage and getting the 2 barrel carb lined out. You are looking at a lot of changes and if you have to have it all farmed out, a pretty big bill. While I am all about selling my stuff, don't want it to cause someone else any headaches/extra expenses. Keep us posted and if we can help, we sure will. Thanks, Fred

Re: Edelbrock 600 cfm carb # 1406 electric choke.
Well thank you for being a honest person. I appreciate that.
When I first laid eyes on this truck I knew i was going to swap the carb and intake out. I hadn't planned on switching the distributor until me having an issue with the truck not starting. After me replacing plugs, wires, cap rotor and points. I'm not entirely car stupid like most chics...my jr and senior yr of high school I took vocational auto. lol I had planned on me doing everything but body and paint. Now getting back to the carb...I did buy a complete gas pedal assembly from pedal to carb. Now if I was missing linkage would that fix that issue? And honestly I am going to buy a used 4bbl. and getting it rebuilt. I would like it to be yours versus some jerk selling me junk. betty |

Hey Betty. You will need to fabricate linkage and fuel lines. Not a big deal, just trial and error. So come on, tell us about your truck... Pics??
