Grant Steering Wheel Install Help
Hey guys.... I need a little help from the forum on this. I just bought a new Grant wheel to put on the truck. I also have install kit #3162 which should be right since my truck is a '68. The installation drawing is pretty straight forward to me, so that's all good too. Here's the catch and what I need help with:
There was an older, crappy shape APC steering wheel installed on the truck already when I bought it with an installation kit very similar to my new one when I got the truck. NOT the factory wheel. My issue lies in the hardware that goes UNDER the install kit hub, namely the horn hardware. I haven't removed the install kit hub yet (just the steering wheel itself), but under it I can directly see the turn signal cam mechanism.... Isn't there upposed to be some kind of plastic ring on top of that having to do with the horn? Can anyone show me a pic of the way this is SUPPOSED to look and what parts I need to make the horn work? Judging from the rest of the P.O.s "electrical" work on this truck, I know the horn wasn't a priority.... Also, would anyone have some good, used hardware that I can buy off of them as well? Like that plastic horn contact ring, spring, plastic sleeve, and the horn wire that is supposed to go here I believe? Thanks guys!

Re: Grant Steering Wheel Install Help
No sir, thanks for trying to help though! I need to see/buy the parts under the steering wheel (or installation hub in the case of my aftermarket Grant steering wheel).

Re: Grant Steering Wheel Install Help
I just put a Grant wheel in mine. It was missing the turn signal cancellation cam, which is also the horn contact ring. Here is a link to order this part. Part (11).
