seat belt dis-assembly questions
Has anyone ever taken apart their seat belts? I would like to know how to remove the plastic covers without breaking them.
I assume they are clipped on some way and want to save them all.

I don't want to tell you something and feel bad if you break them... but I have taken them off before ... by using a very small thing flat screwdriver. They are held on by 4 little tabs on both the left and right side of the plastic cover.... you have to carefully and slowly work you way up... You do this by stickin the screwdriver in where the plastic meets the chrome underside. You have to TAKE IT REALLY REALLY SLOW THOUGH... if you start to hear a crack.... let off and don't try and keep goin I hope this helps and you can do it GOOD LUCK Trevor

I wonder if setting them in the sun or using a hair dryer would help?
Andy, 5? I need to make a good set using the chrome from my parchment belts and the covers from my black set. I will have a local shop restitch them. Thanks guys.
