LOL, I think he is trying to leave a little "wiggle" room for negotiation. If its anything like the real world he would have spent $17000 on it and the best he could get would be $5000.

Wife tired of him hunting and fishing all the time. Tired of the truck taking up space, blah,blah,blah! She wants him to sell the truck! Seller, being a smart man, posts the truck on Craigslist. Puts a crazy price on it, and knows no one will pay it. "Sorry honey, I put the truck on CL, but nobody wants it. I'll try again next spring."
