Help
I was working on my 58 truck today, messing with cluster and trying to find why my tach was not working. Ok with that said I was messing around fixing wires ,you know working under dash. Bam I see some smoke coming up through the whole where the cluster goes. I could not find were it came from. So i continued working when I buttoned things up and tested. Know the problem Headlights work chec, with knob out 1 click parking lights in back work but not in front . Blinkers in front not working blinkers in back working fine, the indicator light inside both flashing. With headlight switch out 1 click the front blinkers work very slow still no parking lights. I thinking maybe I fried something on the headlight switch. Also dash lights work fine as does dome light and headlights. Any ideas? Could it be back feeding some how?

Re: Help
Sounds like you shorted the wire to the front parking lights. If you would have shorted the light switch more light related stuff would be bad. Look forbvious rub points. You need to find the short before it takes out the rest of the harness (been there! b).
