In the making of a new floor....:)

I ve recently taking up the rustrepair on my 55 truck. My plan is to make a completely new floor with a underlying frame of rectangular tubing.

I ve seen a project here on the forum of a fellow chevyhead that was in the making of a completely new floor. But now I cant find the thread...

It was a series 1 3100 stepside, does anyone here maybe have a lead of which thread I am thinking of. He made a new frame and sheetmetal on top of that, beadrolled and had very good skills i metal fabricating?

Please help me! Any other tips and trix would be more than appreciated, pics pics pics.

Thanks in advance everyone!!

chevythechief, I did 2 like that. I used 1x1 .125 wall tube and 18 gauge sheet metal. You can check my links below. It would be either pickups.

Thanks Shannon! Your thread was the one I was looking for. I really like your work, you sure got the skills. Amazing!

Self taught or?

I´m just in the beginning of my learning process. Thanks again for the input and inspirational pictures. Thumbs up!

chevythechief, Thank you very much. Yes, self taught, no trade school. Just good old fashion trial and error. If you need any help or more pictures just let me know. I am more than happy to help.
