Problem with 6 lug rotors and slot mag wheels... help!
Hi all, I have a CPP disc brake conversion (6 lug) and am having issues with getting the slot mag wheels I had on it to fit. It seems that the studs are just off on a couple to prevent the mag style lug nuts to fit in the lug holes on the slot mags. One side seems to be okay but the other is not.
I have already has CPP swap out one rotor as it was off so much I could only get 2 lug nuts on. The replacement rotor I can get 4 lugs. When you look straight at the stud in the wheel, you can see it off just a little. Steel wheels likely would not be a problem but since slot mags use mag style nuts, they bascially have to be perfectly lined up. I had no problems with the stock drum brakes and these wheels. Anyone run into this problem before and what did you do to fix it? Has anyone ever drilled out the lug hole slightly bigger? Thanks!!!!

Years ago when I sold mag type wheels I ran across this once or twice.
It ended up that the studs were not fully pressed into the rotors from the back and were slightly off center. We would put a spacer on each stud then the nut and torque the nut right up to max torque allowed and that properly seated the studs. Its along shot but it may be the case. regards

I would think you should take it up with CPP before doing any mods. I think they should want to fix this, or risk a bad name on here... where most of us are lurking. Please let us know the end result, I would like to see how CPP handles this.

I have run into this on a set of CPP 6 lug rotors and it was the same as Lucifer stated, the studs were not fully pressed in and were just slightly at an angle. Pressed them a little more and they lined right up.
