Newbie from NorCal - San Jose
Just picked up this '72 Cheyenne LWB locally last Sunday. After having a couple Chevelles, and currently a '63 Nova this is my first truck. I've always been a fan of the woodgrain/two tone styling of the 71-72 Cheyenne's so I am excited to finally own one.
Truck was built locally here in Fremont, was original white top with med olive paint, saddle interior, A/C, PS/PB and rear leaf springs. Short term plans are to swap to truck rallys with larger tires, re-install stock style grill and colored lenses and work out a few mechanical issues so I can drive the heck out of it. In the long term I'd like to do a SWB conversion, go with the white/med olive two tone and redo the interior to the stock style saddle with all woodgrain dash, glovebox and door panels. I've been here reading on the site for the last year or so, and will probably bombard you all with a ton of questions (after wearing out the search function that is). Here's a few pictures of the truck, and a couple of my Nova.. |
