Inside door handle thingy question...
Well, the Service Manual calls it a door remote. Both of mine have this spring like piece of metal wrapped around the shaft (see where the arrow is pointing?). This spring is just sitting there, loose.
Is it supposed to act like a real spring and provide some tension when you pull on the door handle? Am I looking to order new door remotes to replace these broken ones, or is this how they should be? Thanks,

Sorry but it looks like they are broke . These springs return the door handle back to the position it was in when you open door.

Spring is broken, hence the lack of tension on it.

I have one that's broken and one that isn't, they should spring the handle back to it's original position.
the spring may not be seated right or it's worn/broken. |
