Nice paint job, driving your swb around the Puget Sound area will definitely turn alot of heads. I lived there for 13 years and never seen a one on the road. They are rare in Misty Northwest. Congradulations on your rig..

71 longbed no i've painted a couple, this is the first one with basecoat clearcoat.

the color is the factory code 26 for our trucks from70-71.ppg basecoat its called med blue poly and dupont centari it is called mulsane blue.

i shaved all the emblems and other small things just to clean it up a little, for the smooth look. thanks for the compliments guys now i just have to paint the rest to match.

Mulsane Blue was also the factory color on a 71 or 72 Chevelle I had. It looked darker than yours. I prefer yours. Looks great. The fact that you had to do it twice should make you feel all the prouder. Sometimes all it takes is hanging in there.
I really like the pinkish colored flames in the pic called "last one"
Congrats. You done good!

i think 70 chevelles had the same color too.the pinkish colored flames are the reflection of the azalae bush next to the drive way.looks kind of cool though.
