Chrome Dipstick Thingy???
I got one of those chrome dipstick thingys and was wondering how to get the old dipstick tube out? Do i just yank on it or is it screwed in or what? Thanks

Try twisting it with a pair of vice grips. Be gentle though, you don't want to twist it off in the hole. You may want to spray some WD-40 around it first.

like randy said or even liquid wrench dont force it too much and if the metal starts twisting leave it be a while and coat it a few more times over several days with liquid wrench and wd40 before trying again

If it don't come out very easily, I'd heat the block up with a tortch (not red hot...just hot) and maybe rub some ice ont eh lower portion of the old dip stick tube.

be careful with when putting the new chrome one in..i think alot of them chrome over an orginal size tube and then its usually to big to fit in the hole..i've had to take a wire wheel to the chrome to get them to fit in the block
