1967 paint

Ok guru's....need some paint help

I have two 67's and both have a different color interior paint from the body paint.

1. How are they painted where is the correct dividing lines?

2. Where do I find the paint colors...pretty sure the one is medium fawn poly but other truck is a metallic aqua?

3. Anyone know the names of the original exterior paint colors...67 CST is Red and 67 Custom is aqua/green

Will post pics later of the two later

Re: 1967 paint

I'm going to ride with you on this one as I need to know about this also.
Did you get those caps from me? I can't remember. The chrome 67's are really hard to find and are worth a small fortune.

Man that CST shortbox is sweet! Which one are you building and what are your plans? Or are you building both.

I was told that a clean set of those caps sold on ebay for $500 for 5.

Re: 1967 paint

I'm building the red cst, the other still has original paint and virtually no rust. Both have buddy buckets and the green one was just lowered 4.5 in front and 6 in back and changed to 5 lug...found a set of dog dish wheels for it and will run original painted caps back on it with 255 60 15's in front and 275 60 15's in back....plan on painting it down the road and painting the white on top soon....the red truck is at Nsanehotrodz being gone through and he has started a build thread for me on it..both have buddy buckets with original covers with no rips...thought that was awesome will replace covers eventually but they look good enough for now, just will need refreshed later.

Re: 1967 paint

that's a cool site.. If I see a car on the road and like the color (considerations on my 68 truck color) I just plug it into that site and call my local paint store to see what it costs...

Re: 1967 paint

Yes figures I would add the shoulder belts and my speed warning tach dash to it, I think it will be worthy of it someday

Re: 1967 paint

I`ve seen the color change on the door at the edge of the outer skin where it folded around the inner part of the door. i guess the color would change on the cab at the door gasket. that way the inside would be all one color

Re: 1967 paint

That's a good site that CC69Rat posted, I use it often.

Try this link for interior colors.... http://www.tcpglobal.com/aclchip.asp...truck-pg02.jpg .... I think it'll take you to the right page, if not just enter ChevroletTruck 1967 and click on page 2.
