72 A/C Wiring Harness?

Hi everyone. Anyone know where does the long orange a/c wire plug into the fuse box? Also, does the wire run on top or bottom of the radio and on top along with the main harness? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Re: 72 A/C Wiring Harness?

If your speaking of the orange wire that goes to the AC blower motor relay then it plugs into the CIG terminal in the fuse block. I am not 100% sure of the factory correct routing of the AC harness. My assembly book is at home - and I am not. Hopefully someone can verify the routing for you today.

Re: 72 A/C Wiring Harness?

Assembly Manual indicates the orange wire from the A/C harness is plugged into one of the "ignition unfused" terminals on the fuse block. HOWEVER, the Chassis Service Manual Four Seasons A/C wiring schematic shows the 12g orange going to the "cig" terminal and replacing the fuse with a 25 amp. The 20g grey wire for the control lights goes to the "panel lights" terminal.

Assembly manual shows the wire going across the bottom for your control connections and then up across the top and around the dash hole.

The large hole that the instrument panel goes into. Once it gets over to that area it goes up and above like the main harness does using the same bendable wire clips that are up there.

Thanks alot! Did not understand at first about the dash hole. Does the glovebox light harness run the same on the top with the main harness? Thanks!
