Does anyone have a pic of the cigar lighter diagram? Thanks!

Re: Cigarette Wiring Diagram
The ones I've seen were real easy. It's a seperate thick red wire that plugs into the fuse box and just loosely runs along the main harness toward the wiper motor and over to the lighter.

Usually, they ground to the dash "naturally"....mine has the red coming right out of the back, which I connect to "always on and put in an inline fuse, a black ground from a blade on the body of the lighter, and a blue wire for the light from a blade next to the light which I connect to "panel lights" on the fuse block. Simple. Especially considering that (of course, all the disclaimers are in place for those that need them), you can patch in anywhere that ends up at 12V + for the red, 12V + lights on for the blue, and anywhere solid ground for the black. I take special care with the 12V + to the "always on" (Cig), and with anything that draws as much juice as the lighter, lest a meltdown of ugly proportions would occur. Thus, the fuse upstream of the fuse block to anything attached to that terminal. Plus, a good size wire in that line...a minimum of the size the red 12V + came on the lighter

Re: Cigarette Wiring Diagram
I've never had a truck that had the glove light and in all my years of junkyarding, never saw one there either. ?? I would think it would tie in with the door jam/dome light wiring but let's see what others have to say.

Re: Cigarette Wiring Diagram
Never had one on a truck before, either. But when I was getting something that was about $6.00 on line, I added one to the order for a "lark".
Then, since I was under there anyway wiring up EVERYTHING, and I couldn't imagine it drawing much of anything, I plugged it in to the hole that Mother GM provided, pinched a tiny hole in the Vintage Air glovebox, and ran a wire to the harness I made with an extra female connector that connects a couple of other things to the panel light blade (in the fuse block). Wiring it that way, it only "plunges on" when the lights are on and you open the glove box door.

Re: Cigarette Wiring Diagram
Thanks again for the info. I've never seen one on these trucks either, but came as an Gm accessory. I bought a nos glovebox light assembly on ebay years ago, and it lists for these trucks and older one's too.

Re: Cigarette Wiring Diagram
I plugged mine into the batt connector on the fuse block. That way with the key off I can still look through the glove box without my keys. Mine came stock with a glove box lite but the light and wiring had been taken out by the po. So it still had the plunger actuator switch to turn it on and off. It had a spade connector with a extra power wire I piggybacked my stereo off of for power to that.

Re: Cigarette Wiring Diagram
The glove box wire is a continuation of the dash cluster lights wiring which goes to the heater panel first and then to the glove box.
It should be a light gray wire about 20 gauge.
