that is true asking and selling are 2 completely different things... wish I knew about your middle seat when it was still out west here!

Something is only worth what someone else is willing to pay for it..

That's no middle seat, that's a rear seat. A middle seat is the same width as the driver's seat but has an arm rest on the right side.

Re: 63 Burb seats

were the middle seats bigger on the 6 passenger, and then smaller on the 9 passenger?

I believe all Suburbans had a 70/30 split front seat, and all had a full width rear seat. Only those with three sets of seats had the short middle seat. The two seat models had the full width "rear" seat in the " middle" position with cargo space behind. The floor in all models was set with receivers for all three seats regardless of how many came with the truck. This applies to Chevrolet. GMC had long sliding tracks in later years and seats could be moved at will to any position.
Apparently their value is subject to availability. For years I had heard a full set was worth at least a couple thousand and just the middle seat was near half of that. Recently however, TWO full sets (and nice one's too!) have been posted for sale on this board for some time at great prices with no takers as far as I know. Looks like that high value was based upon mere speculation or the economy has hit the Suburban seat market especially hard or ?? Your guess is as good as mine. I say get them while you can.

Re: 63 Burb seats

I have a local acquantice that is doing a frame off restoration of a 65 Burb, he's inquired into the seats and I've asked for 500. He seems interested.

I know RockTonka has a full set, he's asking 1,400 plus the ride. I don't remember who has the other set.
