starting issue
Greetings! I have a new to me 69 gmc longbed with a 350. I adjusted the carb to hopefully correct a hesitation issue I was having and after that my truck has been running like a champ. However, on the 4th of july on my way to watch fireworks I stopped to get gas. And when I turned the key, nothing happened. The starter didn't click or try to turn over, nothing! All the lights and electronics were all still functional. My phone died at the same time my tuck did, leaving me with a hell of a walk home..
Upon arriving back at the truck the next day it fires up with the first turn of a key.. I'm no mechanic but I'm assuming my starter may be on its way out.. or perhaps the headers are causing the starter to get too hot? It only seems to do it after I have been driving around for a while. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance! Posted via Mobile Device Posted via Mobile Device Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: starting issue
Thanks! Sounds like a pretty good starting point.
