what am i missing
Well let me just say thanks for the help on the cab mounts. i got the cab setting on the frame but the hump of the cab is hitting the top of the transmission, When i picked up this frame it had a big block in it and it was not origanal i dont think. but is my problem with the motor mount perches, i have a 350 with a 350 turbo in it now. What would be the difference with big block and small block mounting. Or am i missing something else. I am working with a 4x4 72 truck frame with a 67 cab which i dont think that is my problem. Please help

It is 4x4 and I thought I read on here a small hump would clear as long as its not a big block.

Since you'll need to cut a hole for the 4WD control, why not cut out the low hump, and use the high hump from your old cab. I have seen many folks do that to get the clearance for the tranny/transfer case
Also how bad is it hitting? Do the fenders line up correctly? You may need to shim the cab bushings if it is only a minor interference.

Its touching at the welded seam across the firewall right at the center. I guess I can body do a body lift. I know there are holes to move the engine forward but no extra holes for the transfer case to move forward with it. Or can I lower the motor and trans and transfer case. Has any body else ran I to this.

Well I was making progress and this is what it is going to look like soon again i hope but i guess i am going to pull the cab back off and move the driveline forward about 2". It only takes about 30 minutes to pull the cab with the cherry picker device. so it wont be that bad i guess.

Ok i am not going to be stupid anymore i will cut the floor out and put a high hump pan in. i really just didnt want to cut the painted cab but its the smartest thing to do like Palf70step said. and the cheapest also. thanks guys

If you have an automatic you dont have to use the high hump..the low hump should work just fine. Are you using the correct body mounts?

The cab mounts you need should be for a 69-72 4x4 & 3/4, 1 ton 2 wheel drive, all cabs are the same so you match your cab mounts with the year of frame you are using regardless of year of cab. I've done several body swaps and there is plenty of room on a low hump 2 wheel drive cab on a 4x4 frame..you just need to cut about a 4" hole for the shifter. I've done the high hump install as well and its not that big of a job...just depends on what you want.
