Bucket seat under floor brace

I cut out the front floor seat brace from a blazer tub to use for bucket seats. Nice to have if you are installing original style buckets in your truck. I sand blasted it and it's in good shape. Three piece set, middle section and 2 outbord pieces. $175 shipped.

Re: Bucket seat under floor brace

Will use for my K20 build. I assume the middle secton will conform to the floor pan though it came from a blazer. If you know different let me know. PM payment details when possible. Thanks, Pete

Re: Bucket seat under floor brace

It will fit perfectly, trucks that came with buckets had the exact same piece spot welded in. A must have piece if you are adding factory buckets and want to make it just like original. This will also make it easy for you to find the seat bracket hole locations, you will find it is about an inch outside the bench seat bracket hole location.

Good to know. I am concerned that I need another set of braces to complete the install as seen in the last pic of post #14 on this thread: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=516328

Anyone know for sure?

Yes, if trying to look OE will you need the smaller rear brackets, this setup is for a blazer with rocker boxes. I had posted several A50 optioned truck floor pan pictures months ago in your above linked thread. Mel

Thanks Mel. This would not be a complete set then for a truck install. Bummer.

Re: Bucket seat under floor brace

Actually, I believe these 3 pieces will work. If you have a bench seat now, you already have the outer braces front and back (they might need to be moved a bit). The ones you are needing are for the inboard mounts which are in the 2nd picture of post #14. In this case the long piece goes across the front, and the shorter pieces would be used for the inboard rear mounts.

If this isn't correct, the only way you will find the exact original style rear inboard braces is to get them from a truck or suburban that had bucket seats. Blazers are different because the seat brackets are different and the passenger side tilts forward.

Correct, if wanting the four smaller rear floor braces to look oe truck from the bottom side view then they cannot come from a blazer. The 69-72 LH bucket seat adjuster tracks are all the same on the trucks, burbs and blazers with sport buckets, the utility style buckets had completely different tracks along with another footprint/bolt pattern for bolting down the LH/drivers seat.
