Re: Now I don't know....
Man........that sucks! Just when you think you know exactly what you want! Sometimes its better just to put the paint in the gun and spray it. My oldest daughter rags me all the time about the "color of the day" I have decided to paint my truck. What she doesn't know is I decided on a color a long time ago, but I'm not telling what it is. They'll know when I drive it up in the driveway. Think I'll tell them something like Sublime or Plum Crazy just for fun. As far as your color conflict goes, of the two, I would go with the second one without hesitation. Never been a huge fan of the rally stripes on 67-72 C10's. Now that you have an answer run out scuff, tape, paint!!

Re: Now I don't know....
I have seen the one on the right before (or something really close to it). That is the way to go right there. Completely awesome!

Re: Now I don't know....
The stripes look good. The bumper stripes need to match the body stripes, but I'd just leave them off. Chrome grill and a white or chrome bumpers.

Re: Now I don't know....
I like the second one, hands down. Good luck with your decision either way. Ultimately as long as you're happy with it, you'll be good.

Re: Now I don't know....
are you going to paint it? i painted my 01 a two tone last summer. i was thinking, two tone should be easy....wrong. it's tough, all the taping off inside the door jams and making sure the lines are straight inside the curves. then more retaping off. then more.
anyway, here are some photos so you can get a visual of other colors. maybe it's a color scheme that you like, or maybe not. this is the first time i've been in this picture folder of my 01 build. i get sad that i got rid of it.

Re: Now I don't know....
The second pic is by far the cleanest. I have always called that style of two-tone a baseball cap. Stripes just don't do anything for me on trucks.

Re: Now I don't know....
i agree, i don't care for stripes on trucks at all.
getting lines straight on the outer body is the most simplest part about it. i just attached my masking tape (the good auto body masking) back near the tailgate and stretch it as one long piece and eyebald it down the side. inside the door jams, the lines and your eyes will play tricks on you.
