Need your opinion

Well i have had my frame and driveline together for months now and my concern is that i dont know any history on the 350 auto trans, if its good or bad. The person i picked the frame up siad he thought it was good. And it has been sitting for about 10 years without any fluid in it. Well i got to thinking that i am about to set my cab on and it would suck if i finish the truck by this spring and got in it to go and it does not move. So should i pull it now and have it gone through just for the peice of mind. i know i should of done this months ago and i have thought about it several times. What do you guys think.

Re: Need your opinion

Might as well do it now, if you don't you will probably regret it.

Re: Need your opinion

x2. Much easier now, and not that expensive for turbo 350. And its much better that everything works right the first time driving it out of the shop.

Re: Need your opinion

Yep. Rebuild. So much easier, and as said before not that pricey to rebuild one.

Awww. Come on now. Coming from a place called Clever, MO I bet you knew what the answer would be before you even asked.

Re: Need your opinion

The TH350 is one of the most common tansmissions the General ever made. Very cheap to have rebuilt.

Wink Re: Need your opinion

Well I called a trustworthy shop that's been around for years and he said around 500.00 dollars so I pulled it out tonight and will deliver it to him tomorrow morning. And he said it will be a çouple of days when its done. I will feel better having it done.

And really, clever is not that clever of a place. Glad I don't live in the city limits.
