Exhaust manifold bolts question
Working on pulling the B.B. out of the Longhorn for the rebuild.Any suggestions on taking manifold bolts off....Just brute force and and a few banged up knuckles?????????Have sprayed bolts with the usual stuff...Also it seems that I can't get the 1/2 in deep socket in,,and 9/16 is to big...Any suggestions would be appreciated...So far I have everything almost off just these D &*^%$$#m bolts..........

If you can't get them out by driving a socket on them, use a cut off wheel and cut the heads off. Pull the manifold off and remove the "studs" with a vise grip. It can be a real time consuming problem!
Good luck! Jim |

try a metric socket. between 1/2 and 9/16 i think is a 13 mm. ive had good luck doing that when bolts and nuts were rusted.
