I recently put a 700r4 & tilt column in my 68 PU, it starts off seeming to run really high RPMs before shifting to 2nd, seems to run and shift normal all the time after it initally shifts , freeway speed and it shifts into OD & seems ok, today while reading threads, two wire lock up solinoid needs to be hooked up?, is it locked up when not wired at all (mine is not wired up), do i need toggle switch and 12 volt/ground?, and when would i turn the lock up on and off?, any help would be appreciated as I hate to burn up a perfectly good tranny, its out of a 92 Caddilac broghm
