Re: Didnt know were to post this hahaha
Probably jumped the white car, landed on the metal keg and hit the tree and broke the bed while hauling a load of hog fencing.

Re: Didnt know were to post this hahaha
That's a late '66 early '67 model. Didn't make too many of them. GM was trying to use up old inventory before going to the full '67 model.

Re: Didnt know were to post this hahaha
We laugh... but Ford did it for real. This isn't some redneck backyard bed swap... it came from the factory this way.

Re: Didnt know were to post this hahaha
that bed came off a 65 crewcab. the 65 straight line ranger bed the still lined up with the body, but the f series crew had a higher body line. ive had almost every model unibody f-100 from 61 to 65 when they tagged them as rangers. you know to this day the bed on a ford 250 crew up still line up to a f-150

I know Ford re-used the same stepside bed for many years, all the way from the mid fifties to about 1981, I believe.

It looks wrong, but...the 1957/60 Styleside bed was used on the following: 1961/66 F350's / 1961/65 F100/250 4WD's / 1966 F250 4WD's, and.. 1963 F100/250 2WD's. The Uni was canceled midyear 1963. In order to continue to have a 2WD Styleside, Ford used the 1957/60 bed on these trucks. Here's a really good article on it: http://news.pickuptrucks.com/2010/02...y-pickups.html Ford, which had pinned its volume-selling models to the integrated design, was understandably panicked at potential issues surrounding the unibody. Midway through the 1962 model year, the company rushed a separate cab and bed into production as an alternative to the unibody. So last-minute was the conversion that Ford hadn't tooled up to produce a new bed, instead sending 1962 and 1963 models down the line with the box from the 1960 F-Series, which did not line up with the newer truck's swoopy lines. The unibody style would remain in production through the end of the 1963 model year, at which point the non-integrated styleside pickups were outselling it two-to-one. By 1964, all Ford F-series trucks returned to the conventional arrangement.
