The KIA blue is very nice in person and easy to live with. Goes well with black interiors too. Best thing to do is run down to a KIA dealer and walk around a blue car, it will give you a better feel than a picture.

thats actually have how i found it. i thought it looked great in person too. i am painting the outside of the grill black (its a 69) then the part in the middle blue. black rims and little stuff the the emblem black and the door handles black. now for another question, gloss or flat black? i am as indecisive as my girlfriend when it comes to this truck.lol

The whole grill shell like this? If so then gloss or semi-gloss powder coat are about the only way to keep it looking clean or are there no bugs where you live? Might try photoshopping the paint scheme before spraying anything.

Re: got the blues and need some help!!

Corsa (KIA) blue and the '68 front end would look really good if you are going to do the black trim and inserts. I'd just keep the '69 grill and do chrome bumpers and trim and forget the black all together. Put a black interior together with the blue metal and the truck will look great.

That's exactly what I am doing. Bought a 68 for five hundred.

Re: got the blues and need some help!!

My nova is arrival blue i really like the color it has different personality in shade/sun night day absolutely beautiful in the sun with the metallic. Black goes great with it, why i painted my grill and interior is black.

I vote for the Kia blue.

Another thing to think about is the cost. Some of those colors are tri-coat only and that can add a substantial amount to the cost.

Very good point! So I will then toss, stock '69 508 Dark Blue, in for consideration. As a non-metalic it will be easier and cheaper.

I really don't think so haven't really looked at it that way. I don't think someone would mistake it as purple. the paint was $300/gallon when it was painted in 04?05?
