What is this

Anyone have any clue as to what this is . It was located in the vaccume line between the brake booster and intake port.

I would guess a one way check valve.. only a guess.. If you can blow air through one end and not the other, that is what it is. Ive never seen one on any of my trucks but, Ive never really looked....

it is a vacuum check valve. you can find those at any auto parts store in the help packages. it keeps vacumm in the booster for one application of the brakes after the engine dies.

The check valve in our trucks is the 90 degree plastic fitting at the end of the hose going into the booster.

Looks like trash can filler now!! It's useless if air goes both ways. Do you have the factory one in the booster grommet too? That one may be bad also, better check it.

I still have the little whie fitting in the booster. Guess I will have to get a new check valve..THANK'S LUKE
