Driveline question

Picked up my new 72 K20 this week, and after troubleshooting a vibration issue at highway speeds, I found that there's a dent on the rear driveline. I'm thinking its throwing a pretty good wobble into the rear end at higher speeds, so I'm going to look for a replacement. Anybody know what rear drivelines would be compatible? It does have a lift (was supposed to be 4", but without measuring it looks like 6" to me) so I'm guessing I'll probably have to get one lengthened as well.

I would find a decent drive shaft shop and get a quote on re-tubing your existing shaft. If it's a decent number go that route and you'll know everything is good. My only concern with junkyard shafts is they may be just as bad as the one being replaced.

From your pics and the blocks, seems like a 4" lift to me. Looks good, and I'm assuming you're running 35s?

Yup, they are 35's. I'll actually go out and measure the blocks on the lift in the morning. Next time I'm out of town I may take the driveline with me to have a shop look at it. Not much around here for specialty shops, but I think there may be a machine shop here in town that does it as well.
