fuel sender question

Iv got a 79/80 c30 with twin fuel tanks, the sender wires come into the cab under the seat and stop right there, where should they go to?

this is a truck I brought recently with the dash all dismantled so Im putin her back together

They run to the switched terminals of the tank selector switch.
The actual dash gauge feed comes from the common terminal on the three wire side of the selector switch.

mine just has a plain toggle swicth, dosnt look factory at all, there must be somthing missing

You can use a DPDT ON-ON toggle switch in place of the plastic GM switch. This may be what was done on your truck.

my toggle has 3 terminals on power on. Iv got the power going to the fuse box. not sure exatly where on the fuse box but its works the solinoids, the two wires coming from the senders are just floating under the seat.

if I join them to the toggle how will the gauge get a signal?
