Hood Hinges

Does anyone know if the spring on the stock 67-72 hood hinges hangs below the bottom of the hinge bracket that's attached to the fender when the hood is closed? Or, lower than the forward mounting bolt on the same part of the hinge bracket?
If anyone might happen to have, or be able to take a photo of the stock hinge with the hood closed that would be fantastic.
Thanks for any help.

Re: Hood Hinges

Doesn't the spring attach to the hinge ass'y? Aren't there some indentations in the inner fenders to accomodate the moving parts?

Reckon it may be like the refrigerator light....won't know unless you're inside the engine compartment and someone closes the hood.
