I say go for the shop truck look, especially if your going to actually use it as one.

Re: Original or shop truck You pick

I say the shop truck thing is overdone/played out. Rat rod? There's no such thing as 67-72 rat rod, how's that? Stock or custom? My vote is for old school mild custom...static drop, rallyes, steelies,or period mags, chrome bumpers, deluxe side markers, and dual exhaust. That's all these trucks ever needed. This would be easier than stock,IMO. I'd like to see stock on this, but it would need paint, seat cover, steering wheel, and maybe more. I see you like whitewalls on rallyes. That's cool. I guess Monte Carlos would have that back in the '70s. But,they are pretty much a sport wheel meant more for blackwalls. I like whitewalls with wheel covers, personally. With those rallyes you could have the option of going back and forth with either.

I agree, I love the shop truck look but I would lower it with some nice period mag wheels and drive it. Give the paint a good buffing and clean up the engine and enjoy it.

I say custom shop truck, but I think Tim said it best with the K.I.S.S. method.

Re: Original or shop truck You pick

With such a nice little truck, that good paint and it's classic look "I" wouldnt paint anything on the door, and I like the shop truck look, just not here.

You are the one who has to look at it in the drive every day, do what you want my friend.

You asked!.. clean simple-stockish with a decent stance, wheels or run just steelies. That truck is so clean I would hate to see you put door art on that you may regret later.

I agree...if you did go the shop truck route, take a look at the Holley Shop truck...very tastefull. Subtle & gets the job done.

I would not put a logo on the door either, overplayed in my opinion.

New paint, nice static 4/6 drop, convert to gauges, new chrome front and rear bumpers, new deluxe or van side markers, new deluxe pedels, and your rallies! Drive the wheels off of it! WES

Take the running boards off, put the red truck wheels on it, and drive the heck out of it.

It's so cool how we like so many different things. There are some truck on this board that I wouldn't even take a load to the dump in and others I'd like to be buried in. Just do what YOU want to do and don't worry about what we think!
