smelling gas in cab

just got done doing a rear tank in my 72 Cheyenne and removed the one in the cab but it smells like gas in the cab now still have the two lines that goes up on the passenger side like this

Probably will for a while. Mine did until I got in there and did some cleaning and painting. Now it smells like fresh paint. Quite the contrast. I have those line in my 70 too. Can't find a way to get them out and I am thinking they might rattle a bit with the new tunes. Oh well I will turn it up!

there is a fixed high loop in the door pillar held in place by one or two easily removable screws if one can out think them

mine i just gave them a tug straight down and they poped out like they were held on with a clip?

Mine go up around the back window as some sort of equalizer or balance. Gonna go up into the dome light and cut it or them and give them a real tug. Bizarre!!
