Dash tins ( any worth to them or trash)
I have a whole bunch of idiot light metal dash tins lenses and circuit boards that I have had on the shelf for a while now. Needing to make some room and wondered if they have any value? There were several nice speedo's and gas gauges that I will be putting on the parts board soon but have no idea if these are even worth messing with since they are not the 7 hole clusters ( minus one).
Thanks Richard

Personally....throw them away.
Or..list them on the parts board and see if anyone bites.

Re: Dash tins ( any worth to them or trash)
Thats what my 1st thought was as well but I have been wrong about so many other things on these trucks and thrown away parts that years later I could kick myself for, I figured I better ask
Thanks Richard

Re: Dash tins ( any worth to them or trash)
To be honest, I don't have a need for them but I do have an idea for them for you before you trash them.
eBay offers free no-reserve auctions as far as listing fees go, and guys who were going to aftermarket gauges in their truck may be interested in them, especially since some project trucks come without a cluster in them. Its a no-risk high reward option since there are no listing fees, and if someone winds but doesn't pay you could still open the dispute and seek the fee credit. Might prevent some guys from butchering stock clusters for their aftermarket gauges, or at least turn something that has potential value into money for you rather than scrapping... Maybe you could even test-run a package with new gauges if you were in an entrepeneuring mood.... |

Re: Dash tins ( any worth to them or trash)
Those tins look good with after market gauges in them.
