Bumper guards and boneyard pics

Found some guards on this 68. Guy didn't want anything for them, gave him $20 bucks anyway. Well worth it. Took some pics along the way, don't see many yards with this kind of stuff anymore. Hope it's ok to post a few cars I think are cool.

Work in progress?

I like the '64 Impala and the rusty shell of a first gen Camaro. The Napa truck is neato!

Re: Bumper guards and boneyard pics

Neat. Was it just some guys backyard or was it a salvage yard? The Napa truck has 67-68 trim but looks like a 71 or near that otherwise. Has a cargo light so was maybe a CST/Cheyenne.

This guy I know inherited the yard and business when his dad passed. This is the "old" yard with all the cool stuff. Has another yard with tire business and modern wrecks. I used to go here a lot back in the day when his dad owened it, had probably 25 trucks then. Late 80s early 90s.
Napa truck.. Good question. Has all indication of a 68. Steering wheel, e-brake, front clip, etc. The CARGO light caught my eye also. It is a custom, but the cargo light if you look closely, is shaped differently than a 71 or 72... Can anyone chime in on this? I could get a closer pic if need be.

Re: Bumper guards and boneyard pics

Okay, is this something normal? In the 4th picture the one that shows the interior of the ( I guess ) white Napa truck on the passenger side floor board it looks there is a factory hole ( notice the nice even curve on the corner ) with a lid flipped up. Can someone explain?

Cool yard by the way and thanks for sharing the pics.

By the way, under the little floor mats, the original rubber is blue. Just thought to be cool. Never seen that.

The Napa truck is a '68. The cargo light is a later than '72 part. Now go back and get the steering wheel, dash pad,and mirrors off that thing! What a great bunch of stuff...that ought to be sold off whole!

Hes very generous if he doesn't mind parting with that particular piece.. (I did flip him a $20), but usually is like pulling teeth! I've tried to buy several things with no luck. This is not the yard that is his money maker.. has another on the other side of town.
Don't blame him, I think to him it's a collection.
