If something like that was available before I bought mine I would have paid 10-12 for it.

Re: Looking at a '70 2wd
I went and looked at the Blazer, it was very clean and the body looked really straight. The only rust I saw was on the passenger side rocker. I also found out that it was originally a 4wd and has been converted to 2wd.
He is asking $8000. Any thoughts? http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/cto/3321142663.html Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Looking at a '70 2wd
To me it appears to be put together with a variety of non original parts in addition to being a converted 4wd - seats, steering column, etc. I would look it over real carefully underneath to see how the rear coil suspension was installed for example and I would want to drive it for sure to see how it ran, shifted, and handled.

It does say OBO...6.5k is more than fair in my opinion. There is a real 2wd on racingjunk for around the same price out of Kentucky, it has some more rust issues though.

Re: Looking at a '70 2wd
Thank you all for your words of wisdom. I have decided to pass on this.
I tend to agree that while it looked good on the surface it just wasn't what I was looking for. Thanks agin for all of the help and direction. Bob |
