let's see your homemade tow trucks

I've seen a few home made rigs lately, a couple real old one with hand winches. I'm kinda thinking about building one myself so... lets see what ya got!

I know that rig isn't home made. You could buy pickup truck units from tow equipment companies. You can still buy them,too.

It puts the weight more directly on the axle. The farther back from the axle you put weight,the greater the effect. It's leverage. It also helps keep weight from lifting off of the front wheels for better steering and braking. If you load sacks of concrete mix at the back of the bed (as most of us do) the truck will droop far more than if you slide them up between the wheelhouses.
