I can't tell really well, but that intake looks to be for a small block. That might cause a problem.

Yeah, double check the application for that manifold. Make sure it is for a big block. AS far as cam is concerned, with that manifold, I'd be looking at an engine that had 10:1 compression or better and probably a cam around 290-300 duration and at least a 3000 RPM stall convertor. I will mention that that manifold will loose you alot of low end torque.

I would also be afraid of a $200 700R4. I would be very afraid hooking it to a big block, esp one that will wear an intake as wild as that one.

Any thing that is a single plan intake and especially with that much rise will loose torque on the low end. Those intake setups are typically designed for higher rpm applications, usually having an rpm range like 3500 to 6500. Here's a paste from the Edelbrock site:
"Street Tunnel Ram 2-O (3500-7500 rpm) Designed for use on 396-502 c.i.d. big-block Chevy V8s with large oval-port heads (1975 and earlier). Ideal for applications such as pro-street or marine where low-end torque is not a prime factor." ![]()

Here's the one I have on my 402, note the difference in RPM ranges. This one is a dual plane:
"C-66-O Dual-Quad (1500-6000 RPM) C-66-R Dual-Quad (1500-6000 RPM) Designed for 396-502 c.i.d. Chevys, tests confirmed smooth, consistent part-throttle operation with a 25 hp gain over Torker II and a torque gain of 30 ft/lbs. over Performer. Will not fit tall-deck truck blocks. Includes metering rods to calibrate Edelbrock carbs. Carb center to carb center = 6-7/16". " ![]() I would also run a good size stall so you will be launching at or around the RPM range of your intake. Thats also where you want to purchase a cam with a similar RPM range so everything is working together, not against each other.
